When I was young and stupid New Years Eve was a very big party night, the fact that most of the time we did not have to work the next day was a big factor on how stupid we could get. Now most years I am in bed before 10 pm and do not know if the new year has arrived until I get out of bed to go to work. It is just another day to us and I kind of like it that way, no pressure, no hangover and biggest of all no silly trips to jail. Ya I am way for that not happening to me.

We have to go to work early Christmas morning, and then after we sleep for a while we will pick up our grandson and let him open his presents from us. After that we are going to our sons house to eat Christmas supper, sounds like a pretty good menu for the dinner he is going to grill some steaks to me that is way better than turkey or ham for dinner. We have not bought a lot of presents for anyone this year, it has been a very tough year for us in our business, and let us hope the new year brings a rebound to the world economy.

Since I moved to Nashville in 1999 the city has blown up with sports teams and their fans. I include myself on that list I cheer for the Tennessee Titans and the Nashville Predators. I have been to games of both and have had season tickets to the Predators. I love my teams and I am not ashamed to wear my teams gear even when they have a losing season and do not make the playoffs. We have had a good couple of seasons with both teams playing well and making the playoffs let us hope this trend continues.

The huge mirror in my bathroom fell down and shattered today, what I am trying to figure out is thisĀ a sign of bad luck headed my way? Am I responsible for all mirrors in my home? Even if I had nothing to do with it falling and breaking. I need some help on this because it was a huge mirror and may hold more than 7 years bad luck. Lets hope that I am not responsible for the damage and can get on with my life and not have 7 years bad luck following me around.

The Holiday season always makes me feel fat and I really want to get started on a good diet this year and not fool around with putting on a lot of holiday weight. I am going to stay away from the cookies and pies and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables this year, of course I say the same thing every year. I have made it past Thanksgiving without blowing up in weight I put on one pound this year for Thanksgiving and I think I can make it through Christmas with the same weight gain I will be a happy camper. Man but those pumpkin pies look so good already.
