Great day

Posted: under Local, Weather.

The weather here in Nashville has been wonderful this last week, I know that it will not last. Not with winter just around the corner. I can handle the cold weather much easier than the hot weather, I guess there are just so many clothes you can take off when out in public. In cold weather you can layer it all on and be warm and toasty. I guess that it is going to snow on Monday I can wait for that event, I hate the snow.

Laundry Day

Posted: under Life, Rant.

With today being my only day off this week, I have to get my laundry done so I will have clean clothes to wear to work next week. It takes me most of a full day to catch up on laundry. I hate to do it it does not like me neither and that makes for a tough duty. By the time I sort the clothes and get a couple of loads washed and into the dryer I am worn out and need to take a break and that means that will be all the laundry for one day. The bad part is that I have about 5 loads of dirty clothes and need most of them for next week, so I have to force myself to finish this hated chore today.

Hard Freeze

Posted: under Life, Nature, Weather.

The last couple of nights have gotten cold enough to finally freeze my pepper plants and tomato plants too. The tomato plants still had tomatoes on them and until the hard freeze they still had blooms on them, very strange that the plants even after the weather turned cold were still trying to put on tomatoes. The yield from my garden was so so, the peppers never put on many peppers or got very big we did get a few jalapenos and they were very good and the tomatoes were very plentiful and very tasty at the same time. So I would call my small garden a success. I can not wait for spring to start all over again.

Big win

Posted: under Local, Sports.

On Sunday the team here in Nashville The Tennessee Titans ran their record to 10-0. An amazing start to any teams season and since the previous record for wins at the start of a season for the Titans was 3, I guess this is pretty dang amazing. Next week they have a very tough game against Brett Farve and the New York Jets. I have tickets to the game and hope the weather in nice right now it looks like it might rain and that would be a rough way to go to my first football game of the year. GO TITANS

Veterans day

Posted: under Family, Holidays.

Veterans day is a big holiday to me and my family, my father was killed in Vietnam and I have learned over the years the great agony that the families of service men suffer. I have marched in a Veterans Day Parade since I was 4 years old and I see no reason not to continue this tradition. My Dad would be proud that his daughter shows her support for the troops and for the veterans that fought in wars gone by.
